Professional Course in Web Design/Development
|
|
|
|
This course is NOT a "programming" course (although it does include many coding practices): it is a course
on how to make a successful Website, whether for business or pleasure. By "successful", we mean "making
it popular", "making money", or provide a "real" service!
This is NOT for amateurs used to drag-and-drop editors, Dreamweaver "designers", or fans of free frameworks
such as Joomla, WordPress, Drupal or any other: it is a hard core design/development course, even for beginners,
starting from SCRATCH, and that encompasses all aspects of web development and promotion.
It starts with a general understanding of the web itself, and the way it works, commercially. You will then present
your idea of a project, that you will develop all the way through the course. However, before jumping
into design and coding, you will analyse the viablity (financial or otherwise) of your project: this means some
business and marketing studies.
Once your project has a chance to become successful, you will go to the nitty-gritty of making it! And this will
cover the graphics and the coding.
Each lesson has its own "homework", for which you will have to do some trials, as well as some research: I will not
be doing the work for you!
All homework will receive its own correction notes and markings.
To follow the course, you will need a graphic program (preferably Photoshop), the free Notepad++, and (optionally but
useful) install the free APACHE XAMPP on your computer.
The course lasts for one year, spread over 52 weekly lessons, and the next group class starts on August 6th, 2012.
Bookings are now open.
It is charged at $399.00 (325.04€) |

A team of North American Directors has contracted with Web2coders
to develop a similar version of: "www.AdultFriendFinder.com" (AFF), a multi-million dollar Adult
Website in the USA.
AFF started as a very basic site, but was later sold to Various Inc./Penthouse
Magazine for $500USD Million.
Former Directors of the original company have awarded us their 2012 Project: WWW.AFFAIRSWANTED.COM.
From what we see and hear, we believe this new site will give AFF stiff competition and can exceed
valuations of $200USD Million within a 3 year period.

Notes: - I do not make blogs.
- I do not make static sites - only dynamic.
- I do not make "Social Networks" (unless you have serious financial backup).
- I work for the final client, no middle man or "development companies"
- I do not start working without full specs, contract and deposit.
- You do not tell me how to do my work. If you tell me so, why don't you do it yourself?
- I am not a Graphic Designer to make fancy images: I will get you designs from my partners. You pay them separately. I am
a CODER: I make your site "work".
- I do NOT use frameworks such as Joomla, Drupal etc... I develop efficient, fast loading code. As a comparison,
my sites rarely exceed 500k of code. Joomla itself introduces 26Mb+ of never to be used code.
- I do NOT use any kind of Flash: they are a waste of time, waste of bandwidth (and most Flash designers do not
even know how to stream the download), and, most of the time, "cost" the site a huge amount of loss of visitors, who will
click the back button instead of watching a never-ending "Loading, Please wait" animation!
In short: if you do not convince me that your site will be successful (that is: MAKE MONEY), or are not willing to pay decent fees, go somewhere else.
Some ideas of fees:
- Personalized Script Modules: from 50€
- Basic Interactive site: from 500€
- Basic e-commerce: from 1200€
- Dating, Social Networks or similar: from 3000€. (Advertising commitment budget required!)
- Multi-lingual, database driven (Eastern European languages): +40% of quoted price
- Preliminary contact: free
- Establishing specs: 200€ in advance, credited towards final value, but non-refundable.
- Mockup (layouts of all pages, non-functional): 40% of total price.
